Sex Pays

Sex Pays

Sex is something that is not normally associated with workplace productivity but it seems that there is a correlation between the number of times we have sex and the performance we put out there for our careers.

In a recently published article in the The Huffington Post (08/14/2013), entitled “People Who Have Sex At Least 4 Times A Week Make More Money: Study”, it says that individuals who have frequent sex tend to have higher paying jobs than their contemporaries. Nick Drydakis, a member of the Institute for the Study of Labor made the research and found compelling evidence that suggests subjects who have sex at least four times per week tend to have higher salaries. The data does not implicitly say more sex equals more money but it does show individuals performing better at work because they are a happier bunch. This complements research results conducted by an intimate products designer from Sweden called Lelo. Their findings published as an infographic, titled “Infographic: 5 Reasons Why More Sex Helps Your Career” (September 17, 2012), indicate there is a reciprocity between sex and success. It notes that the more sex you have the more success you get. In Lelo’s study, it shows that having sex on a regular basis results in an increase of a third or more in workplace productivity and sales. They also found that it boils down to sex making us happy and that reflects on our performance in our careers. Maybe companies are going about it the wrong way in discharging the charged office environment but that may need in depth research and until it is done we will not know for sure.

Many have studied the benefits of sex pertaining to more than just careers and money but in focusing on the data on these particular studies, the information highlights the fact that people having sex makes happier people and happier people perform better at their jobs leading to bigger paychecks.
